justin has studied and practiced martial arts and yoga for over 15 years. it was only until 4 years ago he immersed himself in yoga. at first he practiced yoga only as a supplemental workout to his martial arts training. but once his two children (twins, nate and jules) were born he was looking for a way to destress, get active again and get some time to himself. it just so happened that one of his best friends is renowned philadelphia yoga teacher John Vitarelli. after he went to one of his classes at dhyana yoga he was hooked! he immediately knew that he wanted to follow the path of yoga. a few months later he enrolled himself in a teacher training program at dhyana yoga and was teaching before he even graduated. during his teacher training he was heavily influenced by the teachings of john vitarelli, dhyana vitarelli and simon park. but more so by the inversion masters, brock and krista cahill. after a weekend with brock and krista he fell in love with handstands and the freedom that comes along with that style of practice. he’s been upside down ever since. if you come to class expect to work hard, sweat, laugh and progress your practice but also progress yourself as a person.
